IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!
There is a mechanism to prevent opening the device during recording. This mechanism disengages the OPEN switch during recording, and engages is once recording has completed.
However, on this unit it usually struggles to engage the OPEN switch after recording has completed. Tapping gently or somewhat firmly on the back of the device when it tries to engage the OPEN switch resolves the issue.
If you don't do this, it gives up and you cannot open the device to remove the disc.

There are three colour variations; silver, blue, and orange. The orange variation was only sold in Japan.
