Product Information:
Released in 1997, the Sony MZ-R50 has both playback and recording functionality (when working as expected).
It was released before gumstick batteries became the standard, and uses a Sony LIP-8 rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
There are three colour variations; silver, blue, and orange. The orange variation was only sold in Japan.
It weighs 190 grams without a battery or disc installed. 
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and 3.5mm LINE OUT jack for audio output.
Due to its age it does not support MDLP.
