Product Condition (Functionality):
Excellent condition.
After a full charge, used it during the testing session (including recording a full 74 minute disc) and following that the device reported 6 hours of playback time remaining.
The user manual states that a fully charged battery is capable of 14.5 hours of continuous playback in SP mode.
Left the battery at around 50% of capacity (storage charge) after testing completed.
Note that these batteries should not be left at full charge without using them as this will impair battery health.
If there are no plans to use the battery for a long period of time, store the battery at around 50% of charge capacity. Check up on the battery at least annually.

Product Information:
Released in 2004, the Sony MZ-NH1 is a flagship Hi-MD and NetMD compatible device. It has both playback and recording functionality.
Li-ion battery charging is done using a battery charging stand and AC adapter.
Uses a unique USB cable made only for this device.
It was sold with the RM-MC40ELK inline remote control.
Disc editing can only be performed using an RM-MC40ELK inline remote control. The EDIT menu cannot be accessed from the main unit itself.
All of the menu items are displayed in English. For example, 'OPTION', 'BEEP', 'DISC MODE', and so on.
It weighs 107 grams with a battery installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
It features support for:
- MDLP
- NetMD
- Hi-MD
- HD Digital Amplifier
- Anti-shock G-PROTECTION
- VPL Accoustic Engine
- Personal disc memory
- Equalizer allows 7 steps of adjustment (-10db to +10db) in 6 frequency bands with four fixed presets (Heavy, Pops, Jazz, Unique) or one of two fully customised settings (Note - you cannot use the equalizer and "Virtual Headphone" simultaneously)

Trivia:
The FINE disc included in the sale does not seem to be from any of the four official editions of TDK FINE discs. Nor does it have any TDK branding on it. It is similar to, but not the same as, a TDK FINE second edition disc. Maybe this variation is really rare?

Hopefully this information is clear and covers everything you need, but don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
