Released in 2002, the Sony MZ-N10 is one of the special 10th anniversary models. It is the successor to the MZ-N1. It has both playback and recording functionality. 
It has a built-in 3mm lithium-ion battery.
USB connection is only possible with a dedicated battery charging stand (BCA-WM21U) and proprietary USB cable.
In-built battery charging is only possible with a dedicated battery charging stand (BCA-WM21U) and power supply, or external AA battery pack EBP-N10 and power supply
All of the menu items are displayed in English. For example, 'EDIT', 'DISPLAY', 'PLAY MODE', 'SOUND', and so on.
In Japan it was sold with the RM-MC35ELK inline remote control.
It weighs 84 grams including the in-built battery, making it the lightest portable MD recorder ever released by Sony. 
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
