The Sony MZ-E909 is the final iteration of the 9xx series of MiniDisc players (900 and 909). It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
Released in 2001, it is extremely light due to its full magnesium construction. It supports MDLP. It features speed control, personal disc memory, melody timer, and has up to 160 seconds of anti-shock protection. ATRAC type R.
It weighs 49 grams (!!) without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
