The Sony MZ-E730 is the final iteration of the 7xx series of MiniDisc players (700,707,710,720,and 730). It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
Released in 2004, it features a High Definition digital amplifier, 6-band equalizer, and a VPT (“Virtual Phone Technology”) acoustic engine, which cannot be used when the 6-band equalizer is active.
It supports MDLP.
Full aluminium construction.
It weighs 69 grams without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
