Product Information:
The Sony MZ-E720 is the penultimate iteration of the 7xx series of MiniDisc players (700,707,710,720,and 730). It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
Released in 2003, it features a new High Definition Digital amplifier (10dB less noise than MZ-E710 at low volumes). It also has a “Quick start” function, which keeps audio data in memory, reducing startup time from dead stop to about 0.4 seconds.
It has a 6-band equalizer, and a VPT (“Virtual Phone Technology”) acoustic engine, which cannot be used when the 6-band equalizer is active.
Full aluminium construction.
It weighs 64 grams without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
It was bundled with the RM-MC33EL inline remote control.
