Summary:
Sold as parts only/not working. During initial testing the device did read and play discs when the device was placed at a certain angle, but then stopped reading discs altogether.
Product Condition (Appearance):
Front Face - some small marks and some paint worn away.
Rear Face - paint has worn away in a couple of places.
There are no noticeable scratches on the LCD display panel.
All external-facing screws present and tightened.
Product Condition (Functionality):
After inserting a disc, the device is unable to read the disc as expected and after some time, 'Err', is displayed on the LCD panel.
The LCD diplay panel on the device is fully functional.
No further testing was possible.

Product Information:
The Sony MZ-E30 is the successor to the MZ-E3. It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
Released in 1996, it has a magnesium diecast construction, and features one song repeat, all repeat, and shuffle repeat playback modes.
It was one of the first units to utilize the rechargeable 1.2V Ni-MH 'gum' battery.
It weighs 120 grams without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
