Released in December 1999, the Panasonic SJ-MJ35 is rather unique as it is a slot-loading device.
To insert a disc, you simply push it into the device, rather than opening a flip-top lid first.
It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
Due to its age it does not support MDLP.
At the time it delivered comparitively impressive playback duration from a single battery.
It weighs 89 grams without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
