The Sony MZ-E505 is the third iteration of the 5xx series of MiniDisc players (500,501,505,510,and 520). It is dedicated to disc playback and does not have disc recording functionality. Released in 2002, it incorporates MDLP, anti-shock 'G-PROTECTION',and Digital SOUND PRESET technology.
