Summary:
Has some damage. The case is functional but one of the two clips used to close the lid has snapped off. It will still remain closed with the remaining clip. See photos.

Screw (release, lock) mechanism to attach the case to a device - OK
Power to device using a standard dry cell battery (LR6, AA) - OK
** Please be very careful when opening the external battery case to avoid damaging it. Place your thumb just on top of the, 'OPEN', protrusion and gently push down to release the catch ** 
** Please be very careful when inserting and removing a battery as it's very easy to break the clips on the lid (speaking from experience) **
